If you do not have your prescription - "Please" - feel free to phone the last optometrist you had your eyes tested with and ask them to send (or fax) your prescription to you.
Remember, you have paid the optometrist to check your eyes and write the prescription. The
optometrist must - by law - provide you with a clear and readable copy of your prescription (Rx form).
Think of your Optometrist as the Doctor and the store in which they work as the Chemist. You do not have to use the chemist store inside the doctors surgery to fill the script.
Feel guilty about asking ? Remember that typically you will pay 5 to 10 times more through a retail outlet than through EyeGlassesOnline for the same glasses so don't get caught by slick sales talk.
Need a new prescription ?
Simply visit your optometrist for a normal checkup ..one eye test per year is covered by MediCare.
Ask for your prescription ! The fact that there is a law that ensures you must be given a copy on demand must tell you something !
NOTE : Ask them to include your pupillary distance (or PD) on your prescription (but if they do not that is not a problem... see the section below on PD).
DO NOT GET TALKED INTO BUYING THERE AND THEN.... you WILL pay through the nose !
The PD or pupillary distance is the distance between the centre of the pupils of each eye.
If you have trouble measuring this distance please get a family member to help.
The PD is important to us to ensure your glasses are aligned properly when we make them for you.

This method is sometimes used by optometrists and it is the measurement from the centre of your pupil to the centre of the bridge of your nose, for both eyes.
Another Method is (example) 63 / 63.5. This simply means your PD is 63 mm for DISTANCE viewing and 63.5 for NEAR viewing.
BUT do not worry ..... EyeGlassesOnline has 4 registered optometrists available to evaluate all variations so please enter a figure where the program requires it and in the comments section at the end of the order please enter these two readings separately.

How long do I need to wait for my glasses ?Generally no longer than you would wait for a local supplier and perhaps a little quicker because we forward straight to your address and do not make you come back into the store to collect your glasses.
Please be aware that the average delivery time is 14 days but can be greater at some times of the year and baring postal delays (which can happen).
There are 3 stages to complete your order . Some options may require longer :

EyeGlassesOnline prefers to use PayPal because it offers 100% security to our customers and charges our customers nothing to use the service.
If you do not have a Credit Card you can make payment with the Bank Transfer system. In this case we will start production of your glasses as soon as the transfer is confirmed by our bank.
If you prefer to pay by cheque or other method please contact us and we will work together to get your glasses to you.
Each pair of EyeGlassesOnline glasses is inspected by one of our four Registered Optometrists to ensure the accuracy of the prescription and proper alignment of the frame.
We assume accurate prescription information from you when you fill out the order form .
However, if you find that the prescription discomforts you, please check with your optometrists to verify your prescription.
If you feel that your glasses needs adjustments, most local optical shops provide free adjustments on glasses.
Because we are so confident with the quality of our spectacles and the quality of the workmanship in our products we offer a full workmanship guarantee for 30 days from the shipping date.
If you find that we have made your glasses with the wrong prescription or there is a fault with the manufacture within 30 days, we will replace your glasses free of charge.
To verify if there is a prescription mistake made by us. Take your glasses to your nearest optical store . They will be glad to help you verify your glasses' prescription .
However, please make sure that the prescription error is not from data input when filling out the order form. In that case, NO lens replacements will be provided .
Breakage and scratches. Because of the nature of the product we do not warrant against any kind for breakage or scratching to the lens or the frames.

The cost of this service is often more than the price of the glasses themselves and as such we do not promote this option at all.
Our Priority Service is a premium service which allow our customers get their glasses within a week if humanly possible. This service include the followings :
1) Priority glasses crafting . This involves stopping the production line to have your lenses crafted as a priority which results is no waiting time. This will shorten the crafting period from original (max) 10 days to 3 days.
2) As soon as the glasses are finished , we'll ship the package via 'Speedpost' which will reduce the delivery time from 8-10 days to 1-3 days .
Unfortunately the price of our first priority service is $185.00 on top of your glasses. If you really need to use this service please contact us directly.

I Only need new lenses ! We are unable to offer this service. We have found over the years that this is fraught with problems and our glasses are so cheap and of such good quality that it is most times easier and better to purchase new glasses
